another film??

tra l'altro vorrei segnalare che le biblioteche di milano e anche dei paesi limitrofi hanno un grande settore video in cui si possono prendere i dvd e le videocassette GRATIS e per UNA SETTIMANA, e in più tengono anche molti titoli "decenti", alla faccia delle fastfood chains such that not only make you pay, but they force you to a choice between the last film of any Vanzina and Scamarcio ..
but we get to the point!
last night I saw a wonderful cartoon! Tokyo Godfathers is called and is about three homeless people (a transvestite, a young girl ran away from home and a cyclist) that are close to their cabin to save a baby abandoned and embark on an adventure that will put you face to face with their life stories human and social reality!
've never been a fan of Japanese manga and art in general, but with films like this or like Perfect Blue, Ghost in the Shell, Paprika, Tekkonkinkreet'm definitely changing idea! are boxes with a soul and above all a writer really crazy ... in most designs, unlike the rubbish in the afternoon for children, are very expressive and can often be confused with film footage (no or little style digital pixar).
really watch it and learn the skill of the new directors of the rising sun!

ps I have recently seen Takeshi Kitano's Zatoichi and I must say that Quentin Tarantino has a rival as good with almond eyes!

Soul Silver Freeze Patch Us

a little film to distract them a bit '

well, since there are also a nice filmettino I suggest that you could easily throw in the classroom for its content highly neurotic ...
film is a bit 'difficult because was shot according to the constraints imposed by Dogma95 (is the name of a particular film movement, because it was created and based on precise rules expressed in a manifesto published in 1995 (hence the name) by Danish director Lars von Trier. The goal, ambitious, was to "purify" the cinema of the "gangrene" of special effects and investments billionaire. No lights, no scenery, no soundtrack, rejection of any device outside the chamber by hand ...)
characters, all of the difficult stories are at the heart of the film, not so much the plot to take the counter, as the expression of various personalities in difficult situations.
history is that some people in a small Danish village that by coincidence, each led by a different reason, find themselves attending an Italian course. Between drama and comedy, the film is about love, death, work ...

if he will be pleased, I recommend also the first born of a Dogma film, Festen.
film is much more raw, but really "sick", here is the psychopathology to dominate the plot. story of a family reunion very little success!

FOR
strong stomach!

January Birthday Invitations

Daniel Dennett

here we are dear friends of cognitive, after months of inaction, with our blog on psychology and the like!
the second year has just begun and we begin to see a little 'clearer on what we're doing and theoretical orientation that the school is offering.
course we all agree that evolution is one of the cornerstones of what we are learning.
just that I sifted a bit about 'the net and I found some footage of one of the greatest scientists of the cognitive world: Daniel Dennett.

in this video the author of "The Mind's I" speaks of religions from a perspective of evolution and supports the strong thesis of compulsory education for ALL religions in schools.
is in English but rather short, it is recommended to take a look!

Organizations Organizations

In response to Francis and talk about this topic so I propose an interesting article (perhaps not very recent, I think 2002) Institute of Psychology and Cognitive Psychotherapy Post-Rationalist. Apparently many people thought it would be very interesting to have a tool that can give us a measurement of the organization as the prevailing school of Rome has developed. I'm sorry I have not read and I hope to do so as soon as possible! The article is by Angelo Picardi and Gherardo Mannino and is entitled "The personal meaning of organizations: towards an empirical validation."

I must point out other interesting material on the topic:

Women Groping In Train

meanings of art and meaning

Hello, in my delirium experimentalist thinking to reinvent the wheel came to my mind a few things to me, personally, would love to look into.
Reda's book, the lesson of Dodet and my new curiosity about the personal meaning of organizations have tickled my experimental side, and asked myself: given such a beautiful theory that looks very solid from the clinical point of view, because, if there are already around, there is no test on these constructs?
So I puzzled a little (big trouble if two neurons are crashing randomly) and I gave birth to this idea: why do not we build one? Why do not we test so as to test the theory (which I think is very solid)? If there is a Rorschach Test because there should be a cognitive organization of personal meaning?
Then, always in my delirium, I thought phrases that attempt to identify the emotional modulation characteristics of the different organizations to which subjects respond on the model of Likert scales (1-7, assolutamente mi descrive/non mi descrive per nulla).
Cioè la nostra modulazione emotiva sia "area-specifica" a seconda del significato che we have given to that aspect, that part of the world. Perhaps this is the basis of mixed organizations? I do not know, but my curiosity is all that I want to share with you, also to get tips, ideas, criticisms and corrections, to enable, in short, a discussion on this topic.
the next lesson!

The Art of psychosis psychosis psychosis in art

I am very pleased to be able to introduce a form of art that I have met in my work and I was shocked by the brilliance. Abstract: The site that I refer is of a patient (no more patient) that was treated a few years to a paranoid psychosis brilliantly overcome through art! His entire site is very nice full of various forms of art, but I want you to read a paper a while because we are concerned about its relationship with the therapist!
Happy reading!

What Is My Shoe Width

Mirror Neurons and Neuroscience

- Antonio Rizzo a proposito della capacità dei bambini di 8/9 mesi di discriminare oggetti da persone, nonché on their ability to simulate actions taken or potential (also performed by third parties). Introduction of "mirror neurons".

Mirror neurons. What are they, how they were discovered, what they explain.

- That It Is Believed by many mirror neurons enable humans to emulate others and thereby empathise with One Another. If true, Functioning mirror neurons are essential for the Socialization of Children and Their Lack of function Would result in the typical social isolation of individuals on the autistic spectrum. This short clip

Explains the action of these neurons and the testing of their funtionality. The case of a boy with Asperger's Syndrome is explored.

- Using the resources of the Brain Research Center at UCLA, this film illustrates the development of neuroscience, from its reliance on information from brain injuries and from autopsies, through to new insights discovered with electronic micro-scopes, EEG equipment, PET scans and MRI machines. Examples of actual research that utilize current technology are presented, including a study on the role of mirror neurons in autism and the mapping of language areas of a patient prior to surgery on a brain tumor.

How Do You Make Acommunication Board

Stanford Prison Experiment

Another interesting note is that Zimbardo has not stopped making the social psychologist, but rather it is still very active and has published a very interesting series of documentaries on general and social psychology, called "Discovering Psychology". There are twenty episodes of twenty minutes on issues such as social conditioning, cognitive psychology, learning ...
Ah! I once saw Zimbardo Quark with Piero Angela!

Price Of Beer In Krakow 2010

Podcast!

add some new stuff I have accumulated in these days!
I have found that many universities (foreign of course) have a very important section of e-learning and often this section is free and open to all.
One of the resources more attractive for us psychologists sono i podcast. In cosa consistono?

ciao!

Can Non-dairy Creamer Replace Milk

A little 'music for the mind!

Lo stile group of very special and original, progressive rock sound combines with other more typical heavy metal, often in tones slow, repetitive, but changing "Wikipedia.

I recommend you listen to this American group, even though I know many of you will probably horrified by his sound rather dark and violent.
I'm not talking about metal music itself, despite what he says the quote from wikipedia, but rather a hardcore (punk derived from) highly evolved, made up of tribal rhythms and guitars sometimes delicate and dreamy, sometimes raw and haunting.
Isis explore all the emotions, dragging the listener into a vortex that passes unexpectedly by moments of joy and harmony, in moments of despair and madness.
All this is supported by a technical skill and the enviable ability to conjure away from their gender groups like Pink Floyd. Try listening with headphones (possibly in the dark) and get carried away by their psychedelic mantra.
E 'music (maybe) hard to understand, but I hope some of you tried to throw an ear ..

Recommended if you like: Tool, Pink Floyd, Neurosis, aerogramme, Jaga Jazzist, John Zorn.

Un film di Darren Aronofsky. Con Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz, Ellen Burstyn, Stephen McHattie, Mark Margolis, Fernando Hernandez, Sean Patrick Thomas, Cliff Curtis, Donna Murphy, Ethan Suplee, Richard McMillan, Lorne Brass. Genere Drammatico, colore 96 minuti. - Produzione USA 2006. - Distribuzione 20th Century Fox

Thomas Creo è rispettivamente un conquistador, uno scienziato e un astronauta che vuole vincere la morte e salvare la donna che ama, Isabel: una scrittrice, una Queen, a thought that tree of life. The epic journey of Thomas begins in Spain in the sixteenth century, ruled by Isabella and threatened by the Grand Inquisitor, was in the study by a biologist of the twenty-first century and ends with an explorer of the future route to Xibalba, a distant nebula. Three stories, a character and a love for only three time periods which will be transferred before the Tree of Life, a legendary plant whose sap gives the drinker eternal life. The quest for immortality becomes a race against time to save his love. But is death the only way to rejoin his beloved. We all want to live forever but no one has direct access to the Tree of Life, so we deal with death, and that of our loved ones.

Combining Mayan culture with the biblical one, Aronofsky creates a new world that is familiar because it responds to cognitive demands and classificatory present in all societies. Models known and archetypal myths of creation and establishment of shared reality, which meets the need to seek explanations and perhaps because of the need for infinity and eternity.
At a time when it is lost familiarity with death, U.S. director will address the mystery in the contested work was suspended and confused between fantasy and metaphysics.

(quoted by http://www.mymovies.it/dizionario/recensione.asp?id=44582)

I really liked this movie, even if at times threatens to become a bit 'too new age.
The director has chosen to talk about love and death using the archetype of the tree of life and the result is excellent.
This is the third film by Aronofsky and even his earlier works, like this one, dealt with religious themes of philosophy, and uses a rather innovative use of the footage.
greek Pi - The theorem of delirium , about cabal and the search for a mathematical number that represents God
Requiem for a Dream , speaking of addiction, with an eye very raw but never cynical or controversial .

How To Defeet Poptropica Bignat

documentary on dyslexia

The Dyslexia Myth (2005) exposes the myths and misconceptions that surround a condition said to affect 10 per cent of the population. The Dyslexia Myth argues that the common understanding of dyslexia is not only false but makes it more difficult to provide the reading help that hundreds of thousands of children desperately need. Drawing on years of intensive academic research on both sides of the Atlantic, The Dyslexia Myth challenges the existence of dyslexia as a separate condition; but in doing so, reveals the scale and pain of true reading disability. The programme examines the chasm between evidence and educational practice and shows that, after hundreds of millions of pounds of investment in the teaching of reading, the number of children encountering serious problems has hardly changed.

This is a nice documentary, which examines various studies on dyslexia from both sides of the Atlantic, and highlights both the views of people affected by this problem, is to institutions that seek to find ways to address it.
I think it's important to look at it with very critical eye, though, compared to other programs on the subject, here we do not offer miracle cures, but they surveyed the various methods currently implemented, highlighting strengths and weaknesses.

Welcome Note For E Wedding Card

Brain Fitness

Here we are, I insert the first post of our blog.

Some time ago I became interested in an emerging theme in panorama psicologico americano, ovvero a quello che si suol definire "brain fitness".
Di cosa si tratta?
Semplice!

http://www.sharpbrains.com/

's very interesting and can even be fun if you want to do some games that stimulate your mind (just click on brain teasers in the top left of page). There is also the Stroop!

A blog just for us!

Dear comrades Course N, from an idea born in a fleeting lunch break on the streets of Como, this is a blog that materializes for discussion to which anyone can contribute!
You might say "Embee!, And what do we do?" Or "Huh?".

try to answer.
This blog is a virtual meeting point where you can talk about the different interests that each of us grows, where you can share materials and ideas, in which to stimulate discussion and debate. He wants to be a place to find ideas and information on all those issues that can, in one way or another, connected to the scope and cognitivist psychology in particular.
This blog will not be a "psychological" in the strict sense, but a seething cauldron where to find everything from reviews of the film that you liked, or most of the book that has impressed you most, reporting events, conferences and courses. It will be full of everything and a bit ', there are instructional videos, articles of psychology ... There will be short, everything that we deem to be useful to share with our colleagues.
course access will be guaranteed to all because all of them can bring in this little project. I will explain how to add material and write new post calmly to the next lesson.
Ah, the colors and page design are the best I managed to do, if someone wants to change them no problem!

I hope you like the idea and I hope you will help make it "alive". I think cognitive
